Astle Paterson works unceasingly to protect the security of your data and personal information and in acknowledgement of this we have achieved Cyber Essentials Certification. The scheme, run by the National Cyber Security Centre, was put in place to encourage businesses to improve their defences against cyber-attacks. Companies that meet the standards set by the government are awarded a certification, and Astle Paterson now meet these standards.
The certificate addresses the most common internet-based threats to cyber security. These are:
Hacking — exploiting known vulnerabilities in Internet-connected devices, using widely available tools and techniques
Phishing — and other ways of tricking users into installing or executing a malicious application
Password guessing — manual or automated attempts to log on from the Internet, by guessing passwords
and therefore helps to ensure the confidentiality of your data is safe from theft or alteration. The certificate applies to any system on which data is stored, including computers, tablets, smartphones and all types of networking equipment. Find more information on the Cyber Essentials Scheme.
