Choosing a Care Home in Staffordshire

Maria Pusey, CILEx Associate of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in Astle Paterson’s Wills & Probate department discusses the guidance available to assist with choosing a Care Home in Staffordshire.

Maria says “Choosing the right care home for yourself or a close relative is a difficult and life changing decision.

For those facing this decision, there is help and guidance available from Staffordshire County Council who, in conjunction with Care Choices, have released the 2015 edition of the ‘Staffordshire Care and Support Services Directory.’

The Directory provides a list of all home support providers and registered care homes in Staffordshire and also offers helpful guidance on the appropriate care option and the payment options available.

The Directory provides a comprehensive guide to all care related matters, including useful information as to how the need for social care services can be delayed or prevented.”

Please click here to access the Directory free of charge or a hard copy can be obtained by calling 0300 111 8010.

Should you be planning for your future, then please contact Maria Pusey of Astle Paterson’s Wills & Probate department on 01283 531366 or by way of email to mpusey@astlepaterson.co.uk.
