Maria Pusey

Bio

Maria is a Cilex Paralegal and is currently working towards qualification as a Fellow. She began her studies in 2012 and has more than 12 years’ experience of dealing with private client work, including wills, lasting powers of attorney and probate matters.

Maria has a particular interest and expertise in dealing with older client matters. Her typical caseload includes the preparation of wills and lasting powers of attorney for a broad range of clients, but with a particular emphasis on elderly client issues. In connection with this, she has undertaken Dementia Friend training. Maria also usually deals with non-taxable estates, although she does have some experience of dealing with larger taxable estates. I also do Court of Protection work. Maria is supervised by the head of the team, Alex Rivers.

In her spare time, Maria is actively involved with her local church. She also enjoys relaxing with a book in her garden, following Derby County Football Club and spending time with her family.
