After volunteering to act as marshals at the Riverside Run on Sunday 31st August 2014, members of Astle Paterson’s staff had an enjoyable Sunday morning assisting the competitors in the race.
Setting off at 9:30am on Sunday 31st August 2014, entrants in the Riverside Run raced either the 5K or 10K course and raised vital funds for St Giles Hospice.
It is thought that in all 120 runners ran the course and raised a total of approximately £5,000.00 for the good cause.
Jean Paterson (Director, Solicitor and Notary), Maria Pusey (Trainee Chartered Legal Executive), Sally Wileman (Practice Manager) and Tracey Cooke (Receptionist) who acted as marshals for the event had a fun time giving something back to the community and it is hoped that Astle Paterson can assist with next year’s event – hopefully a few brave souls from Astle Paterson will be putting on their trainers to take part in the 2015 run!
Following assisting at the Riverside Run, Astle Paterson received the following kind words from the organisers at St Giles Hospice:-
“Just a little note to say a BIG thank you to your team who came along to help marshal the run on Sunday. Everyone had a great time and said the marshals were very supportive and encouraging.
We are very grateful for your kind support.”
