Thank you to all of you who came along and attended Astle Paterson’s Macmillan Coffee Morning on Friday 25th September 2015 and to all of our staff who bought ingredients and made a great array of cakes and other treats.
We are pleased to report that Astle Paterson has raised a total of £335.00 for Macmillan Cancer Support from the event.
To put the donations into perspective, £25 pays for a Macmillan nurse to support a family affected by cancer for one hour, £61 pays for 4 hours for a Macmillan benefits adviser to help someone struggling with the costs of cancer, £278 could keep a Macmillan information and support centre stocked for a month with all the resources it needs to support people affected by cancer and £370 could pay for the hire of a room for a year so a self-help and support group could hold regular meetings.
Once again, thank you to all who baked, attended and supported Astle Paterson’s Macmillan Coffee Morning to help us raise money for people living with cancer.
