A huge thank you to all of you who attended Astle Paterson’s Macmillan Coffee Morning today (Friday 26th September 2014) and to our staff members who took time to make such a tasty range of cakes, scones and biscuits.
The Macmillan Coffee Morning was a great success and it provided a great excuse for the staff members at Astle Paterson, our clients and the public to get together for coffee and cake, and raise money for the good cause.
We are pleased to report that Astle Paterson has raised a total of £250.65 (and counting!) for Macmillan Cancer Support from the event.
To put the donations into perspective, £25 pays for a Macmillan nurse to support a family affected by cancer for one hour, £61 pays for 4 hours for a Macmillan benefits adviser to help someone struggling with the costs of cancer, £278 could keep a Macmillan information and support centre stocked for a month with all the resources it needs to support people affected by cancer and £370 could pay for the hire of a room for a year so a self-help and support group could hold regular meetings.
Once again, thank you to all who baked, attended and supported Astle Paterson’s Macmillan Coffee Morning to help us raise money for people living with cancer.
