Astle Paterson are pleased to hear that Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service’s Christmas party for children, carers who look after elderly patients and nursing teams which took place in the afternoon of Sunday 20th December 2015 at Barton under Needwood Fire Station was such a success!
With the station’s community room festively decorated and equipped with Santa’s own grotto, the Firefighters used their contacts in high places and arranged for a visit from Santa who arrived in his sleigh pulled by his reindeer.
We understand that fun was had by adults – who enjoyed hot drinks and Christmas treats – as well as the children – who were able to meet Father Christmas and receive a gift from him.
In support of the event, Astle Paterson’s staff donated children’s chocolate selection boxes, mince pies and Christmas decorations to help the Fire and Rescue Service put on the great event – which also raised over £230.00 for the National Fire Fighters Charity.
