‘Quickie Divorce’ Website Reprimanded by The Advertising Standards Authority

The Law Society Gazette has recently confirmed that “A website boasting promoting the ‘leading providers’ of online divorces has been told to stop making the claim as it cannot be substantiated.” (To read the full Law Society Gazette report please click here.)

Paul Walters, Solicitor in Astle Paterson’s Family Department noted that “The Advertising Standards Authority has recently confirmed that the Quickie Divorce website’s claim could not be substantiated.”

He continued that “There is no such thing as a ‘quickie divorce.’  However, the quickest divorce is one which proceeds undefended.

At Astle Paterson to obtain your partner’s consent and agreement to a divorce proceeding undefended we follow a clear protocol; to discuss and agree with you at the outset how best to approach the subject with your former spouse and to talk in clear English and in a conciliatory tone throughout the divorce process itself.

At Astle Paterson we have Lawyers (Martin Astle, Paul Walters, Anita Crewdson and Rayhana Kausar) who between them have a wealth of knowledge and experience about how to get you (and, if there are any, your children) through a divorce in not only the quickest, but most efficient and amicable way possible.”
