As has been reported in today’s Burton Mail, Astle Paterson are proud to have donated over £6,000 to St Giles Hospice from monies raised throughout 2015.
St Giles Hospice is a local charity providing high-quality medical and nursing care for local people living with cancer and other serious illnesses, as well as offering support for their families and helpers. All St Giles services are provided free of charge and so they rely heavily on the support of the local community.
At Astle Paterson we have chosen to support St Giles Hospice as our main charity in 2015 and we have carried out many fund-raising events – including coffee mornings, cake sales and St Giles Hospice’s ‘Make a Will Fortnight’ 2015
Sally Wileman, Practice Manager at Astle Paterson, said: “St Giles is our chosen charity because without donations, they would be unable to carry out all their fantastic work within the community and also in the hospice itself.
We also recently supported the Riverside Run (a 5K or 10K run across the Trent Washlands in Burton upon Trent which is put on by St Giles Hospice each year) which raises vital funds for St Giles Hospice and is always a fun event to be involved with.”
