A great night had by all at the Burton and District Chamber Quiz 2016

Astle Paterson wish to thank the Burton and District Chamber of Commerce for putting on a great show at the annual Chamber Quiz which took place during the evening of Thursday 21st January 2016 at the Branston Golf and Country Club in Burton upon Trent.

Eleven competing teams were put forward by local businesses to test their knowledge in 10 subject rounds such as general knowledge, sport, the UK and food.

Astle Paterson, who were on a high having won the Derby & District Law Society Annual Inter-Firm Quiz Challenge in 2014 and 2015, entered two teams into the competition.

After a hard fought contest Astle Paterson’s team of Liam O’Shea, Chloe Buxton, Amelia Gale and Gill Smith came a credible fourth with a score of 89 points – and Astle Paterson’s other team which included Sue Woodall, Deborah Pegg and Sally Wileman claimed second place, only missing out on top spot by an agonising two points.

At the end of the evening, the winning team Ultralogic Solutions of Cannock were presented with the Chamber Quiz Trophy.

As Chamber members, Astle Paterson were proud to be able to sponsor the event and are extremely grateful that the Chamber donated the proceeds of the Charity Prize Raffle which was held on the night to Astle Paterson’s chosen charity for 2016, the Brain and Spine Foundation – a charity helping people affected by neurological conditions in the UK.  In total a fantastic £181.00 was raised for the charity.
