Senior Associate Solicitor - Divorce & Family
I am a Senior Associate Solicitor in the Family Law department and have considerable experience advising clients on a wide range of family matters including divorce, civil partnership dissolution, matrimonial financial matters, Children Act matters, injunctions and unmarried couple property disputes. I am also able to advise on pre-nuptial agreements and cohabitation agreements.
I obtained my law degree from the University of Hull and completed my Legal Practice Course at Chester College of Law. I have previously worked in Birmingham and the surrounding areas, having specialised in family law since my qualification as a Solicitor in 1999.
I assist in negotiating financial settlements and disputes regarding children upon breakdown of a relationship, including those with an international element. I also deal with matters concerning domestic abuse and assist clients upon obtaining non-molestation injunctions and occupation orders. I also provide advice to unmarried couples living together or who are separating and need advice regarding their property or children.
I am a member of Resolution and I am a member of the Law Society Family Law Accreditation Scheme.
I offer friendly, supportive and sensible advice to enable clients to obtain the best result based upon the circumstances of their case, especially often at a difficult time in their lives. My aim is to resolve the matter as amicably as possible but if necessary, helping clients through the court process. I am able to advise clients in Burton upon Trent and surrounding areas but also further afield due to being able to offer appointments online if you are unable to get into the office.
In my spare time I enjoy travelling, going to the theatre, mountain biking, eating out, socialising with friends and family and going for long walks with my dog in the countryside. I am also a qualified scuba diver and one of my favourite memories was an encounter with a 15m whale shark!
