The government is now offering refunds to those who have paid more than they should for some deputyship fees.
A refund may be due to you or someone you are acting for if fees were paid between 1st April 2008 and 31st March 2015 which relate to a deputyship.
The refund is available to those deputyship applications made in England and Wales.
The decision has been made because during that period the cost of supervising deputyships has been deemed too high in comparison to the operating costs of the Office of the Public Guardian.
To read the full details of the refund scheme, and to make a claim for your refund, please visit gov.uk/deputyship-refund and complete the application form.
