THE COMMERCIAL TEAM

Jean was admitted as a solicitor in 1981 and joined the practice in 1983. She has extensive experience in commercial and corporate work dealing with high value freehold and leasehold property acquisitions, and disposals, corporate sales and management buy outs/ buy ins. Jean also deals with commercial agreements and partnership agreements. She became a Partner in Bakewells in 1986 and is now a Director of Astle Paterson with overall responsibility for Commercial and Corporate Departments. Qualifiying as a Notary Public in 1988 Jean has a large notarial practice. Her interests include the theatre, gardening, cooking and tai chi.

Naomi was admitted as a Solicitor in 2000. She is a Director of Astle Paterson. Naomi joined the Commercial department in 2002 to specialise in commercial property, dealing with all aspects of land acquisition and disposal for commercial purposes, property development, storage, retail and residential development. Her experience extends to both freehold and leasehold interests and her clients include private individuals, partnerships and companies. Naomi’s interests include playing the flute (performing at the Royal Albert Hall twice), walking in the Peak District and learning to ski.

Fiona started her career in the City of London before moving on to Kuala Lumpur and is now an experienced company and commercial solicitor specialising in buying and selling companies and businesses, company reorganisations, shareholder agreements as well as drafting commercial contracts such as distributor, agency and franchise agreements.
She also has wide experience in employment law. In her spare time Fiona enjoys swimming, going to the gym and gardening.
